Loading Dock Service in Scranton and Nearby Towns

We repair, maintain and install dock levelers, overhead doors and vehicle restraints at warehouses, plants and stores with receiving docks. The same few people who look at your dock are the ones who come back to do the work, so nothing gets lost between visits.

Where our crew works

Most of our days are spent at facilities in Scranton and the towns close around it: Dunmore, Throop, Olyphant and Dickson City to the north and east, and Taylor, Moosic and Old Forge to the south. We also travel to Pittston, Newton and South Abington for distribution centers, manufacturers, grocery receiving areas and logistics yards that need dock work done carefully.

Because we keep our crew small, we plan routes so the technician who inspected your dock leveler is the one who returns with the parts. That person already knows your door sizes, your traffic and which bay gave trouble last time. If your building sits a little outside the towns listed here, give us a call and we will tell you plainly whether we can serve it well.

What shapes dock work across the area

  1. 01

    Building age

The region mixes older industrial buildings, some with brick walls and narrow door openings, with newer large distribution centers built for high truck volume. Older docks often have mechanical levelers, worn bumpers and pits that were never sized for today's trailers. Newer ones lean on hydraulic levelers, high speed doors and vehicle restraints. We look at what is actually installed before recommending a repair or an upgrade, so you are not sold equipment your building does not need.

  2. 02

    Winter and freeze-thaw

Cold winters are hard on loading docks. Hydraulic fluid thickens, door seals stiffen and tear, and meltwater carrying road salt collects in leveler pits where it rusts hinges and lip plates. Snow and ice also hide damage to bumpers and track until something binds. Our preventative maintenance visits in the fall check seals, springs, cylinders and drainage so problems surface before the cold does.

  3. 03

    Permits and building rules

Each borough and township sets its own process, so permit needs can differ from one town to the next. Routine repair and maintenance usually needs none. New installations, door openings that change size or work that touches structure or electrical may. When a job calls for it, we check with the local office first and tell you what to expect before work begins.

  4. 04

    Working around your shifts

A bay out of service means trucks waiting and freight backing up. We schedule around your receiving windows, take one door down at a time when we can, and keep the work area marked and clean so your team can keep moving safely nearby.

Talk with the crew that will do the work

Tell us which town your facility is in and what your dock, door or restraint is doing. We will talk it through on the phone and set a time for one of our crew to come see it in person.
